Compared with the homeschool tier
A homeschool student's TEFA account holds $2,000. Against AmFaith's pricing, that leaves about $260 to cover in the early grades and about $1,000 from grade 3 on.
Approval comes first
TEFA money can only go to an online program the state has approved, either as a participating school (accredited, operating two years, with a Texas office) or as a marketplace vendor. Look up AmFaith's current status before you plan around the account.
A possible church model
An Austin-area congregation could give online students a supervised room, a schedule and a community a few days a week while the online school supplies the courses. Once accredited and two years old, a program like that could apply to TEFA as its own school.
Our relationship
AmFaith does not pay us and is not a sponsor. It appears here because its prices line up closely with the Texas tiers, and it gets the same scrutiny as any school in our directory.
